The matter of refuting attacks and criticisms directed
against the Cause through the press is, he feels, one which devolves on the
National Spiritual Assembly to consider. This body, whether directly or through
the agency of its committees, should decide as to the advisability of answering
any such attacks, and also should carefully examine and pass upon any
statements which the friends wish to send to the press to this effect. Only
through such supervision and control of all Bahá'í press activities can the
friends hope to avoid confusion and misunderstanding in their own minds and in
the mind of the general public whom they can reach through the press.
