A point to bear in mind is that as laudable as may be the
desire to join in protests against human rights violations, in many instances,
the direct involvement of Bahá’ís in such activities would draw them into
political entanglements which would be detrimental to the Cause of God. This is
why the principle of association but not affiliation must be upheld as regards
organizations such as Amnesty International.
