The House of Justice further points out that however weighty
are the obligations resting upon the believers to pay the Huququ'lláh and to
support the other funds of the Faith, these are spiritual obligations which are
to be fulfilled voluntarily, and under no circumstances may contributions to
any of these funds, even the Huququ'lláh, be demanded or solicited from
individual believers. Appeals and exhortations must always be made to the
generality of the friends, not to individuals.
